Woman Rescued From Deadly Monroe County House Fire: State Police
Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly house fire in Hamilton Township early Thursday, April 18. A home on North Easton Belmont Pike was "fully engulfed in flames" when troopers arrived around 2:15 a.m., state police said in a release. Two teenagers were hospitalized after shots rang out in West Philadelphia on Wednesday night, April 17, city police say. A Reading man was convicted on multiple charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child in a Lancaster County court this week, according to the District Attorney's Office. Joel Villarreal, 44, was found guilty after one hour of jury deliberations, prosecutors said in a release. Train Strikes Tractor Trailer In Chester County, Police Say
Authorities responded to a railroad crossing in Oxford Borough on Wednesday, April 17 after a train crashed into a tractor-trailer, police said. Officials said it happened at the Mount Pleasant Road crossing around 3:30 p.m. The road was closed between South Third and Grant streets for several hours while crews cleared the scene.
