Westport Y Opens As Cooling Center For The Public

WESTPORT, Conn. — Anyone looking to beat Friday's extremely hot weather is invited to chill out at the Westport Weston Family Y, which has opened its doors to the public as a cooling center.

Members of the community are invited to cool off at the Westport Weston Family Y Friday. The facility is open to all, free of charge, until 9:30 p.m.

The Y is welcoming members of the community to come in and enjoy free use of its downtown facility. Stop by just to sit in the air conditioning, use the Wellness Center or take a dip in the pools.

Free swim will be available at the following times: The Stauffer Pool will be open for free swim from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.; the Stauffer Shallows from 2:30 to 7:15 p.m.; and the Brophy Pool from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
