Blood Trail From Second Floor To Sidewalk Left By NJ Stabbing Victim: Police Papers
Newly-obtained documents paint a harrowing picture of a deadly New Jersey stabbing. Jason Torres, 32, left a trail of blood from the second floor of the home where he was stabbed to the sidewalk near Smith and Maple streets in Perth Amboy at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, April 28, according to the affidavit for probable cause. The exact address of the stabbing was redacted from police documents, but says surveillance video shows two people leaving the side door of the address and two people leaving the front door, including the victim, before the 911 calls were placed. 2024 Avalon Beach Sand Back Passing Project
A Cape May County borough has approved a plan to fix erosion-damaged parts of the beach in time for the summer. Avalon is expected to begin a sand back passing project on or around Monday, May 13, the borough said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Apr. 30. Crews will move about 55,000 cubic yards of sand to beaches in Avalon's north end that suffered erosion during winter storms. Sand will be scraped from a "borrow area" between 32nd and 40th streets north. That sand will be placed on the beach between ninth and 15th streets north. A beloved lion has died after spending a decade in the care of an Ocean County animal refuge. Trenton police have identified the pedestrian killed by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday, April 27. Kenneth Paillant, 29, of Trenton, was killed in the crash, police said on Wednesday, April 30. The crash occurred at 3:10 a.m. on the 200 block of North Clinton Ave., police said.
