After Crowdfunding, Danbury Band Is Ready To Rock With New CD DANBURY, Conn. -- A lot of local love -- and blood, sweat and tears -- have gone into this Saturday’s performance of Phoenix Tree. The band recently debuted its new crowdfunded studio album and will unveil its songs at Billy Bean’s Pub in Danbury on Saturday, May 27 at 10 p.m. The album was a year in the making, from concept to prep and crowdfunding (via Indiegogo) which included performing countless shows throughout the year. Westport Cinema Begins Celebration Of Alan Alda With Movie Screening WESTPORT, Conn.--  The beloved Emmy-award winning actor Alan Alda will be celebrated at a screening of the 1968 film, "Sweet Liberty," Saturday, May 20 at 4 p.m. at Town Hall (110 Myrtle Ave). The screening is being held in partnership with the Westport Library's signature fundraiser, BOOKED for the Evening, which honors the illustrious actor. The signature fundraiser takes place at 7 p.m. June 5 at the library.
