FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A warm front will bring temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s over the next couple days in Fairfield County, but temperatures are expected to fall back to more seasonable levels this weekend.
There will be cloudy skies on Thursday morning, but it will clear up to partly sunny this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The high will be near 69. Thursday night will see mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 54. There will also be a patchy fog after 4 a.m.
There will be patchy fog on Friday before 9 a.m., and there is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Otherwise, the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 70. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
A cold front will bring a return to more seasonable temperatures on Saturday, when the high will be near 54. The day will be mostly sunny. Saturday night will see a 40 percent chance of showers after midnight. The rest of the night will be mostly cloudy with a steady temperature around 49.
There is a 40 percent chance of showers on Sunday before noon. Otherwise, the day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.
It will warm up again at the start of next week, with a high near 68 expected on Monday. There will be a 50 percent chance of showers after noon.
