WESTPORT, Conn. – Good news, golfers. The Longshore Golf Course in Westport will open for play for the season Saturday, weather permitting, Parks and Recreation Department Director Stuart McCarthy announced.
To help get the course back in playing condition, the Longshore Men’s Golf Association is hosting a course clean-up beginning at 9:15 a.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a pair of gloves and a rake, if possible.
“The clean-up day gives the greens crew a great head start on getting the course in tip top condition,” McCarthy said in a statement. “The course will open for play on Saturday at the conclusion of the clean-up activities.”
For updated course status and tee time information, residents can call the pro shop at 203-222-7535.
