WESTON, Conn -- The Phoenix U-14 boys basketball team split on two games this week in Desantis Fall League play. Phoenix fell to New Haven 41-36 in a hotly contested defensive battle, but defeated the Orangemen of New Haven county, 54-42.
The Phoenix is an all-star team comprised of some of the top 7th and 8th grade players of lower Fairfield County.
The team includes two Weston 7th graders, Nik Parker and Zach Clevenger.

Clevenger is the defending Fairfield County Free Throw Shooting Champion, and Parker is the county's two-time defending Speed Dribbling Champion.
