ECC Offers Sports Clinics for Kids

The weather may be cooling down, but the Easton Community Center's sports programs are heating up. The ECC is offering five indoor sports clinics this fall for kids looking to learn the basics of soccer, baseball and basketball.

A parent and child soccer clinic will be held for 3- and 4-year-olds with their parents Wednesdays and Thursdays starting Sept. 22 for five weeks. The Wednesday sessions will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m., while the Thursday sessions will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. A soccer clinic just for kids ages 4 to 6 will also begin Sept. 22 for five weeks. Two sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. A Thursday session will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Kids ages 4 to 6 can also sign up for a fall T-ball clinic, which will run on consecutive Thursdays beginning Sept. 23. Those sessions will run from 4 to 4:45 p.m., teaching the basics of the sport. More advanced players, ages 5 to 8, can sign up for a baseball clinic, which will run from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays starting Sept. 23.

The ECC is also holding a basketball clinic Wednesdays for kids 5 to 7 from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. and for ages 8 to 10 from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Each session includes instruction, game play, contests and educational disciplines.

The soccer and baseball clinics cost $65 for ECC members and $85 for nonmembers. The basketball clinic costs $75 for members and $90 for nonmembers. For more information, visit the Easton Community Center website.
