WESTPORT, Conn. — Due to snowy weather, the Staples High School Candlelight Concert scheduled for Saturday night has been canceled. The 2 p.m. matinee was also called off.
Neither concert will be rescheduled.
“It is very unfortunate that we have had to cancel both Candlelight Concerts scheduled for today,” a message on the school’s website reads. “There is no way for us to reschedule the event at a later date.”
The popular holiday concerts, a Westport tradition, feature five Staples High School musical ensembles: The Staples Chorus, Choir and Chorale, Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band. The concerts are free to the community.
