Jordan Wiggins was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of a stairwell at the Elevation Apartments in the overnight hours of Thursday, Aug. 18, according to Quincy Police.
Wiggins was taken to local hospital where he later died. Those who knew Wiggins best were emotionally distraught when they heard about his death.
"Sick to my stomach," one Facebook user said. "I’ve spent the day thinking about how much fun I had growing up with a best friend like Jordan, and all the laughs we had together. When you’re younger your close friends help shape your personality, so a part of him will live on through me."
"This one hurt," another user said. "Probably wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for you. Rip bro."
At this time, authorities do not believe there is any ongoing threat to residents as the investigation into Wiggins' death is ongoing.
