Westport Planning And Zoning Plans Review Of 2 Amendments

WESTPORT, Conn. – The Westport Planning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to review two amendments at a public hearing Thursday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium.

Amendment No. 666 was submitted by Richard Redniss on behalf of New County Toyota to modify the zoning regulations to allow the redevelopment and expansion of existing automobile dealerships on spilt zone properties that lie in both the General Business District and Residential A Zones.

Amendment No 668 was submitted by attorney Lawrence Weisman to modify the zoning regulations to allow the Planning & Zoning Commission to approve the expansion of buildings located in existing Design Develop Districts,  such as the Bridgewater site at Glendinning Place. Currently, the zoning regulations state “…no Special Permit applications may be granted [in DDD Zones] after August 11, 1980.”

Copies of the amendments are available for viewing in Town Hall in the P&Z Office and in the office of the Town Clerk.
