WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Republican Town Committee appointed Ken Kleban to fill a Justice of the Peace vacancy during a recent meeting.
Kleban and his family have lived in Weston for 25 years. He has served on the Weston Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years as a certified firefighter and medical response technician in addition to coaching youth sports and volunteering in the classrooms.
Professionally, Kleban works as a real estate developer with offices in Fairfield.
"Ken has shown a commitment to our community through his service with the Weston Volunteer Fire Department," RTC Chair Britta Lerner said in a statement. "I know he will serve with equal dedication in this position.
Duties of the office may include general oath-giving powers, taking acknowledgments, joining persons in marriage and taking depositions.
