Westport officers responded to 1655 Post Road East on a domestic disturbance call Monday, May 23, police report.

The officers located the victim, who said the suspect, identified as John Lexie, threatened to punch her in face twice while they were arguing, according to officials.

The victim said when she tried to exit the residence, Lexie stood in the doorway and would not let her leave, police report.

Lexie fled the scene prior to the police arriving, so a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to officials.

Lexie turned himself in at police headquarters Tuesday and was charged with disorderly conduct, threatening and unlawful restraint in the second degree, police report.
