WESTPORT, Conn. An empty pickup truck parked on Lees Lane in Westport caught fire Friday afternoon, fire officials reported.
Firefighters received the call shortly after 3 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, the pickup truck, which was parked at the end of the road, was fully engulfed in flames, Deputy Fire Chief Robert Kepchar said in a news release.
The flames were extinguished using a hose line, and a fire inspector was called to the scene to investigate the incident. There were no injuries, Kepchar said.
The Westport Fire Marshals Office was investigating to try to determine the cause of the fire.
