Three New Yorkers Charged With Shoplifting In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. – Two women and a man from New York City are facing larceny charges in Westport in connection with a shoplifting incident reported at CVS on Thursday, police said.

As officers were responding to the CVS, the suspects' vehicle was spotted traveling on Post Road East, police said. The car was stopped and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up items stolen from CVS as well as items stolen from Walgreens, the arrest report said.

Arrested were Bronx resident Sharri Anderson, 43; Manhattan resident Shauntay Williams, 30; and Tyrone Fox, 23, also from the Bronx.

Each was charged with possession of a shoplifting device, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny. Each was held on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 7.
