Three Injured In Two-Car Crash That Closed Road In Weston

WESTON, Conn. — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning that closed Newtown Turnpike in Weston for hours, police said in a Facebook post.

The crash occurred at about 10 a.m. Monday in the area of 177 Newtown Turnpike, police said. 

Three people were transported by Weston EMS to Norwalk Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

Officers were on the scene to assist with the traffic, police said. The accident scene was about 200 feet north of the Lords Highway intersection. 

The roadway was completely blocked for hours because utility workers were on the scene to repair the pole and wires, police said. 

Police were investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
