Jonathan Wismer, of Charcoal Hill Road, is accused of posting a threatening message on the website that referenced killing multiple people with a “long weapon,” police said. Westport police were contacted by MeetMe.com administrators regarding the message at about 9 a.m. Monday, police said.

The message originated from Wismer’s MeetMe.com profile early Monday, police said. Previous violent posts Wismer allegedly posted had already been deleted by the website, police said.

A search warrant was later executed at Wismer’s home, and no weapons were found, police said.

Wismer was charged with second-degree threatening. He was released after posting $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 22.
