A Westport resident filed a complaint in September that he had hired Noah Cifarelli, 58, and his firm, CT Windows and Sunrooms LLC, back in December 2014 to reconstruct his pool roof and paid $5,000 up front as part of the contract, police said.

From December 2014 to September 2015, the contractor did not complete any work nor did he attempt to do any work, police said.

The complainant requested his money back, but the contractor failed to return it, police said.

On Wednesday, Nov.18, Cifarelli turned himself in to the Westport Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest, police said.

Cifarelli was charged with larceny, failure to provide duplicate note of cancellation and failure to provide oral note of cancellation, police said.

He posted $5,000 bond and was issued a court date of Nov. 30 at Norwalk Court, according to police.
