Walter Myles Eads, 89, Of Westport, Former Lonestar Industries Employee

WESTPORT, Conn. - Walter Myles Eads, 89, of Westport, died Sunday, April 5.

He was born May 19, 1925, in Dorr, W. Va., to the late Clarence and Gladys Eads.

After attending Rutgers University, Eads worked for Lonestar Industries for 38 years. He was a chief purchasing agent and involved in providing the materials for the foundation of the Space Needle in Seattle.

He joined Green’s Farms Congregational Church in 1970, and served as moderator, chairman of the trustees, chairman of deacons, and treasurer.

He was treasurer of the High Point Road Neighborhood Association. He later founded a residents’ council in Middlebrook Farms in Trumbull, also serving as president of the group.

His wife, Ada Steele Eads, is deceased.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Green’s Farms Congregational Church, 71 Hillandale Road, Westport.
