WESTPORT, Conn. – Louis J. "Bud" Fratino, a lifelong resident of Westport, died on March 11. He was 84.
Fratino was born on Dec. 31, 1931 to Salvatore and Elizabeth (nee Carroll) Fratino, serving in the Army during the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by wife Catherine (nee Bieling), son Louis "Buddy" II and wife Deborah of Fairfield, daughter Elizabeth Rossler and husband Karl of Bridgewater, N.Y., two sisters, Arlene Savage of Fairfield, and Mary Swen of Florida, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are on Tuesday, March 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Harding Funeral Home, located at 210 Post Road East in Westport.
A mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, March 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, located at 1719 Post Road in Fairfield.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Westport on Kings Highway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 455 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880.
