DeFelice was born in Stamford, to Daniel and Josephine (Pia) DeFelice, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a design engineer and retired from FAG Bearings Corp. (Norma Hoffman) in 1994. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
DeFelice is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Klarmann) DeFelice; children, Joseph V. DeFelice (Eileen) of Trumbull, Karen DeFelice-During (William) of Fairfield and David DeFelice (Catherine) of Hockessin, Del.; brothers, Anthony DeFelice of Florida and Victor DeFelice (Janet) of Stamford; sister, Eileen Gonza (Sal) of Milford; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Daniel and Clara.
Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. directly at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., in Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
