Ann J. Brannigan, 84, Of Westport, Television Performer

WESTPORT, Conn. - Ann Brannigan of Westport died Tuesday, Sept. 23. She was 84.

Brannigan was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and graduated high school and moved to New York City along with her mother and grandmother to pursue a career in dance and musical theater. She worked for more than 15 years dancing and performing on Broadway. After Broadway, she transitioned to television where she was a regular for years on shows as Your Show of Shows and the Jimmy Durante show. After her marriage she moved to Westport.

Brannigan is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Kathleen Fazio (Skip) of Westport; son, Terry Brannigan (Laurie) of Westport; brothers, Jack Shea (Carol), Tom Shea (Betty); nine grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Brannigan also of Westport.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport. Interment will be private.
