8 p.m.: Bonnie Chaplin free concert, Weston High School. Chaplin has toured with the Beach Boys and the Rolling Stones. The Weston Commission for the Arts is sponsoring the event, which will feature performances by Weston guitarist and vocalist Peter Catucci, Weston High School sophomore Thomas Luminoso, and Clay Garner, a student at Greens Farms Academy. The event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, May 7
2 to 3:30 p.m.: Amy Rogell performs in a free children's concert, Emmanuel Nursery School, 285 Lyons Plains Road. Each family is asked to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Weston Food Pantry.
4 p.m.: Kentucky Derby Party, Norfield Grange, 12 Good Hill Road. Watch the race on the Grange's jumbotron. Call 203-226-8233 for reservations.
Friday, May 13
7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday, May 14: Weston's first Relay for Life, Weston High School track. A 15-hour event to celebrate the fundraising efforts of participants and teams for the American Cancer Society. Saturday, May 14
2 to 6 p.m. Weston Historical Society's Spring Fling Event, Weston Historical Society. Cost is $20 per family or $5 per person. There will be live goats, face painting, wine tasting, games, the fire truck and more.
