The rain showers Monday may be strong at night, and there is a chance of thunderstorms as well, Tom Kines, a meteorologist with AccuWeather, said. The rain is expected to continue much of the day on Tuesday as well for a total of an inch to an inch and a half, which could cause some flooding, he said.

“It may not take a lot,” Kines said explaining that with all of the rain Tropical Storm Andrea brought tide levels are still high.

Outside of a possible shower or two, which Kines described as a “disturbance,” Wednesday night the weather is expected to clear up. Temperatures should also reach the 80s on Wednesday, he said.

“Hopefully by Wednesday it dries out,” he said.

The weather Thursday through Saturday are also expected to be dry with temperatures in the 70s.
