Motorist Crosses the Line

Michael Cannizzaro, 46, of 58 Summit St., Oyster Bay, N.Y., was spotted in the area between Riverside and Saugatuck Aves. last week driving without headlights and crossing the center line. When police stopped him, the officer detected alcohol on Cannizzaro's breath. Cannizzaro failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He is charged with operating under the influence, failure to display lights and failure to drive right.

? Alicia Marzulli, 48, of 5 Wakenor Road, Westport, was picked up last week at her home on an active warrant for violating her probation. She was taken into custody without incident. No further information was available.

? Kristen Freitag, 21, of 14 East Ave., Norwalk, was involved in a two-car accident on Aug. 5 shortly after 10 p.m. Freitag struck the rear of another car at the intersection of Kings Highway North and Canal Street. The investigating officer detected a smell of alcohol on her breath. Freitag failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She is charged with operating under the influence and following too closely.

? Paul Bacher, 19, of 49 River Road, Weston, was charged with obstructing free passage on Friday after forcibly pushing his girlfriend into Solstice Sunglass on Main Street in Westport, where the two worked. Police say the incident occurred while they  were arguing near the front entrance of the store.
