Merritt Parkway Closed to Non-Emergency Vehicles

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Saturday’s heavy snowstorm and expected icy conditions prompted state officials to close the Merritt Parkway.

Gov. Dannel Malloy ordered the parkway closed to all non-emergency vehicles at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Driving is expected to be difficult as the Nor’easter continues to dump snow in Fairfield County and throughout the state.
