WESTPORT, Conn. [UPDATE] The threat of Hurricane Irene has prompted several cancellations and closures in Westport. Here's a list of known closures and cancellations this weekend:
? Sherwood Island State Park will close at sunset Saturday and remain closed on Sunday.
? The Westport Weston Family Y will close at 4 p.m. Saturday and remain closed Sunday.
? The Westport Country Playhouse has canceled the 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday performances of "Suddenly Last Summer." Ticket holders for both performances are encouraged to call the box office at 203-227-4177 to exchange tickets for another performance.
? Saugatuck Congregational Church has canceled its 8:30 a.m. Sunday service at Compo Beach and it's 10:30 a.m. church service. The Sunday Farmers' Market at the church has also been canceled.
? The Merritt Parkway will likely close at midnight Saturday.
? Town beaches and marinas will be closed during the storm.
? The Saturday and Sunday performances at the Levitt Pavilion have been canceled. These performances will be rescheduled.
