WESTON, Conn. An Easton driver blamed a mishap with his glasses for a head-on crash Wednesday on Valley Forge Road.
Peter Politi, 20, told police he was wiping off his glasses and dropped them. When he looked up, his truck was on the wrong side of the road.
Domenick Vento, 60, of Weston, told police he was traveling north when Politi's vehicle came around the corner near Bradley Road and into his lane. Vento said Politi's truck hit him head on at about 7:04 p.m. Vento was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment.
Politi was charged with failure to drive right.
