WESTPORT, Conn. -- Construction on Post Road from Taylor Place to Bay Street will affect parking from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Westport.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is set to install sign posts on both sides of the street. The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to conclude at 11:30 a.m., DOT representatives said.
"Because holes need to be drilled into the concrete sidewalks for sign post placement, parking will not be available to allow necessary equipment to perform the work during this time frame," DOT representatives said in a notice. "As each hole is drilled, the restrictions on parking at that spot will be removed. Work should begin at the earlier time in the areas where most businesses are located so that it can be completed by the time stores open."
