Fog is predicted to greet residents as Thursday dawns, with temperatures in the mid-30s. By afternoon, there is a chance of rain under mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-50s, the weather service said.

Rain is likely to continue late Thursday and Friday with temperatures dipping into the 40s. That rain is predicted to turn to snow and sleet after 2 a.m. overnight into Saturday, the weather service said.

Partly sunny skies and highs in the 30s will brighten Saturday. But Sunday will be cloudy with a high near freezing. Rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet are likely to begin by evening, the weather service said.
