The golf cart, owned and operated by the American Youth Soccer Organization, was heading up a hill at a field Madison Middle School when its wheels came off the ground, the Courant said. The driver lost control of the golf cart, which then rolled back down the hill and hit the five children, who had fallen out of it, the Courant said.

The children were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police told the Courant.
