An estimated 4 of 3,808 customers in Weston, 6 of 3,903 in Redding and 3 of 2,861 in Easton were without power at 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to CL&P and UI reports.
“We greatly appreciate the dedication of the thousands of utility responders who came to assist in the massive restoration effort,” said Bill Quinlan, CL&P Senior Vice President of Emergency Preparedness. “Thanks to the team effort of these workers, the municipalities we serve, and many state agencies, we were able to achieve our goal of restoring power to the vast majority of customers by Monday or Tuesday. But our work won’t be done until every customer is restored.”
Only 861 customers out of 1,240,246 total customers served by CL&P were out of power across Connecticut as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, down significantly from more than 43,000 Tuesday morning. United Illuminating reported a total 239 out of 320,150 customers are still without power as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, down from 2,564 outages Tuesday morning.
