Southporter Robert Morris and gang, three Hungarian Pulis and German Shepherd Jakeet, take a post-swim stroll home from Southport Harbor. Robert says only one of the Pulis, Grady, seems to know he's a water dog and is an avid swimmer. The other two Pulis, Grady's litter mates, stand around in the water, not quite getting it. Robert says the breed is great with families and for people with allergies because they're non-shedders.
Nine year old German Shepherd Jakeet is a "perfect dog," Robert says. He was bred as a Fidelco guide dog but ear infections as a puppy prevented his taking the job. Now he's pretty regularly a Puli guide dog.
