NORWALK, Conn. -- Closet & Storage Concepts of Norwalk designed, manufactured and installed new organization systems in all of the bedrooms at Prospect House, a 32-bed homeless shelter in Bridgeport.
Prospect House recently held an open house at the newly refurbished facility. Closet & Storage Concepts was featured earlier this year in Daily Voice.
Closet Storage & Concepts created a new, updated look in communal areas with the addition of bookcases and entertainment centers, and refurbished the front desk area.
“It is always a pleasure to work with Carey (Dougherty) and the management team at Recovery Network of Programs,'' said Karen Bradbury, design director for the Norwalk business. "The projects are always community-focused and designed to enhance the lives of people in need. Our job was to upgrade and rehab the space and make it a more organized and comfortable place for people to live temporarily.”
Guests toured the facility that showcases the combined contributions of the sponsors and companies responsible for the transformation. Walls were painted, new floors were installed, and new furniture was brought in. Under the coordination of Dougherty, a team of five decorative painters created a trompe l’oeil mural that was painted on the entryway wall.
Dougherty is the founder and executive director of Her Haven, a nonprofit organization committed to bringing beauty and comfort to those in need via an extensive community of support.
Closet & Storage Concepts is a home organization and storage products company on Ely Street in Norwalk. Its showroom and adjacent manufacturing facility serve customers in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y.
