Minds In Motion Returns To Westport Saturday

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Minds in Motion, the series of interactive workshops at Bedford Middle School in Westport, is returning on Saturday, March 22.

Student workshops will include Under the Sea, It’s Electric!, Living in Space, The Pinball Machine, Blast Off, Catapult Concepts, Squid Dissection and Intro to Robotics.

Workshop faculty include educators from the Eli Whitney Museum, CrossFit, Stepping Stones Museum, Beardsley Zoo, JetBlue, Talcott Mountain Science Center, Westport Arts Center, Westport Historical Society, Connecticut Science Center, Earthplace, Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children, Cool-ology, Bruce Museum and Silvermine Arts Center with sponsors Summer Institute for the Gifted and Mathnasium.

"Adults can network with other parents, collect free literature, and attend for free Nurturing Brilliance: Discovering and Developing Your Child’s Gifts keynote," representatives said. "Six workshops include A Look at the Science Behind Movement and Learning, Living from a Peaceful Heart, Practical Wellness Strategies for Parents and Teachers who are Busy, Stressed Out, Amazing, and Dedicated, Motivating Minds: Unlocking your Child’s Learning Potential, and Drop Your Defenses, Free Up Your Energy, Be Your Best Self: The Enneagram."

Minds in Motion comes from the Westport PTA Council, The Connecticut Association for the Gifted and Westport Public Schools. Registration is $35 per child for CAG members and $45 per child for non-CAG members.
