Mary McFeely of Westport Dies at 74

WESTPORT, Conn. – Mary McFeely, 74, of Westport, died Friday, March 30, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. 

Born Feb. 20, 1938, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was the daughter of Henry and Cynthia (Hope) Roberts. McFeely was married to Jim F. McFeely for 47 years. She enjoyed knitting, painting, playing piano, baking cakes for special occasions and was devoted to her faith. McFeely was also well-known around Westport for her walks to local shops. 

In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by her children, Helen (Mike) Dilworth of Easton, Madeleine McFeely of Norwalk, Friar Jude Mary of Griswold, Conn., and Mary McFeely of Westport and Buenos Aires; eight grandchildren and her siblings, Libby Augspauch, John Roberts and Cynthia Seiguer, all of Argentina, and a brother, Edward Roberts, of New Hampshire. She was predeceased by her brother Henry Roberts. 

Family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Assumption Church in Westport, with burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
