WESTPORT, Conn. -- First Selectman Jim Marpe is extending Thanksgiving wishes to all Westport residents.
Here is his statement:
"As a community, Westport has much to be thankful for. In a world too often touched by violence, our small town remains peaceful and blessed with abundance, kindness and hope. Westporters are historically resolute in helping those in situations more dire than their own.
"Our community harbors a spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy, and we come together to provide support to those who may be struggling.
"As first selectman, I am immensely proud that time and again, Westporters have demonstrated true compassion and goodwill for their fellow men and women."
