'Dress For Success' Sets Up For Fundraising Fashion Show In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County will host its annual benefit, a “Toast to Success” Fundraising Fashion Show and Wine Tasting, on May 18 at the Westport Inn, 1595 Post Road E.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and includes a wine tasting sponsored by Bev Max, hors d’oeuvres provided by Garelick & Herbs, a fashion show featuring spring clothing lines from Talbots and the Darien Sport Shop.

Tickets for the event are $45 per person.

The emcee for the evening will be DJ Brian Smith. Music for this year’s event will be provided by Thom Adams, keyboardist with "What Up Funk!" 

The models in the fashion show include; Kylee Knoles and Caitlin Nuclo of News12, Jocelyn Maminta of WTNH, Beth Foster from the WEBE Morning Show, State Sen. Tony Hwang, John Craven of News 12, and Gary Feldman, president of U.S. Computer Connections and Chairman of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. 

The event is made possible by the support of a number of local businesses, including Connecticut Community Bank, Xerox, Bic, Aquarion Water Co., Frontier Communications, MPI, People’s United Bank and Bigelow Tea. 

The event is in support of Toast for Success' mission to empower women to achieve economic independence. "Toast to Success" raises awareness of the challenges facing low-income women and how the support of the community can help women build confidence and overcome obstacles to family supporting employment. 

Since it opened in June 2009, Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County has helped thousands of women move toward self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.
