The dog was found on March 19 and taken to Westport Animal Control's shelter. Shelter employees said that the dog, who they have been calling "Simone," is doing much better and looks great.
Simone was described as sweet, gentle and affectionate, with an average and manageable energy level who just needs the usual amount of training that shelter dogs need when coming home from a kennel. She has just been spayed, and is ready to go home to a new family.
If you are interested in adopting Simone, call Westport Animal Control at (203) 341-5076.
