Monday, Sept. 24

Jobseekers Program: Noon to 2 p.m. Learn how to energize your job search using online tools such as Reference USA, LexisNexis and Business & Company Resource Center. Free. Westport Library, McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Cartooning Workshop: 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Kids from 7 to 12 who love to draw can learn new techniques and enhance their skills at a cartooning workshop hosted by the Westport Historical Society. “Foodies:” 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out “Foodies,” a food-themed exhibit at the Westport Arts Center that features work in all media selected by food industry celebrities with ties to the local community. Exhibit is daily through Nov. 4. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.

Author Talk: Noon to 1 p.m. Historian William H. Chafe will discuss his new book, “Bill and Hillary: The Politics of the Personal,” which delivers a portrait of the dynamic between Bill and Hillary Clinton and how it affected their achievements in public life. Wednesday, Sept. 26

Yom Kippur: In observance of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, Westport Public Schools are closed.

Lunch Café: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy a free catered lunch and a discussion on food policy out on the deck at the Westport Arts Center as part of the Lunch Cafe fall series. Scheduled for Oct. 10, 24, and 31. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.

Thursday, Sept. 27

Westport Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s all about supporting the local economy at the Westport Farmers Market. You can find fresh produce, artisan meats and cheeses, freshly baked goods, organic foods, clothing and more. Free admission. Imperial Avenue parking lot.
