Friday, May 31

Dinosaur Dig: 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Children 3 and older can search for buried fossils in the Stepping Stones excavation site, weather permitting). Free with museum admission. Eight dig slots available: sign up for a slot at the Welcome Desk. Stepping Stones Museum, 303 West Ave., Norwalk.

Saturday, June 1

Westport Chicken Coop Tour: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take a self-guided tour through Westport to see some of the town's most charming chicken coops and learn everything you've always wanted to know about backyard chicken keeping during this second-annual event. The tour kicks off at 10 a.m. From 9 to 10 a.m., there will be a chicken-keeping workshop and book signing featuring Lauren Scheuer at Wakeman Town Farm. Tour maps are $10 each and available at the Wakeman Town Farm, 134 Cross Highway. More information available here.

Sunday, June 2

Garden Marketplace: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a day full of shopping, food and live entertainment at this annual outdoor marketplace organized by the Westport Historical Society. Free. For more information, visit the historical society website. Veterans Green (across from Town Hall on Myrtle Ave.)

22nd Annual Hidden Garden Tour: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. See five unbelievable gardens during this annual event, organized by the Westport Historical Society. Three of the gardens are located in Westport and two are located in Wilton. The exact locations of the gardens are not announced until the morning of the event. Tickets are $45 or $35 for Westport Historical Society members and are available in advance by calling 203-222-1424, or online. Tickets can also be purchased the day of beginning at 9 a.m. at the Garden Marketplace on Veterans Green.
