Joining the two-time Grammy-nominated comedian/author for the reading's cast are Broadway actress Lisa Howard, television and film veteran Patricia Kalember and newcomer Jessica Luck.

"Fat Girls, Interrupted" explores food, weight and body issues from the perspectives of four women with completely different problems.

"The play will do for weight and food issues what ‘The Vagina Monologues’ did for women's nether-regions,” said Lampanelli.

Proceeds will benefit The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport.

Tickets range from $25 for tier three seating to $100 for tier one seating and a post-reading dessert reception in the Playhouse's White Barn Center.

The show begins at 8 p.m.
