Learn To Get The Most From LinkedIn At Westport Library

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Are you making good connections with LinkedIn? Do you feel your profile needs enhancing?

Get your account critiqued by LinkedIn experts Michael Shavel or Paul Fedor in personal one-on-one, 30-minute workshops from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, in the Westport Library’s McManus Room.

At the session:

  • Learn how to enhance your professional headline, summary, skills and experience to grab the attention of employers.
  • Update your settings to ensure you are sending the right message to reach your audience.
  • Learn proven strategies for getting more recommendations and endorsements and connecting with the right people in your target industry.

Fedor is a career development specialist for the state Department of Labor, providing job search and career guidance to clients. He is a certified professional résumé writer and certified Myers-Briggs-type indicator facilitator.

Shavel has been employed by the state Department of Labor since 1990. He currently works in the Bridgeport office, providing career counseling to a wide variety of job seekers, ranging from entry level to upper management. He is a certified Myers-Briggs-type indicator facilitator and is a certified professional resume writer.
