Art Therapist Giving Workshop On Female Painters At Westport Library

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A workshop led by local art therapist Sara O’Connor will be held on Monday, March 14, at noon, in the Westport Library’s McManus Room.

The program is free and open to the public. 

Workshop participants will explore the visual art world in various mediums, including various artists’ work, videos, music and poetry. 

Five female artists will be discussed, including Mary Cassatt and Georgia O'Keeffe. 

O'Connor is board-certified, registered art therapist. She developed this interactive workshop as a way to explore how art activates the creative part of the brain. 

She works with various diverse populations and teaches art classes, collage and silk scarf painting.
