WESTPORT, Conn. -- For 16 years, the owners of Westport Wash and Wax have upheld a tradition of giving back to the local community.
On Friday, Sept. 2, Westport Wash and Wax at 791 Post Road E. will donate its entire proceeds of the day from car washes to Homes with Hope.
Laila and Craig Tiefenthaler, owners of Westport Wash and Wax, seek to support those who are most in need. Their efforts have provided Homes with Hope with more than $75,000 since the tradition began in 2001.
Homes with Hope is a grassroots response to the tragedy of homelessness. The agency’s mission is to support the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the communities they serve by providing food, safe emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, and the case management needed to achieve a more independent and self-sufficient life.
