It's been a landmark since 1967, when it was opened by Frank DeMace and Mario Sacco, says News12.

The families have sold the business but are keeping the building at 36 Railroad Place, according to the Westport News.

Vincente Siguenza, whose family-run company will be taking over Mario's, will turn it into a wine bar, and rename it Harvest, like its other restaurants in Greenwich and New Haven, the Westport News said. They also run 55 Wine Bar and Restaurant in Fairfield, Cava Wine Bar and Restaurant in New Canaan, and Scena Wine Bar and Restaurant in Darien, the report said.
