Career Coach Will Bring Word 2007 Training Sessions To Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Career Coach will be making a stop at Westport Town Hall on Thursday, March 10, to offer both a beginner's and intermediate class in Word 2007.

The Career Coach is a training center tour bus equipped with 10 wireless computer stations that offers free computer classes to residents in the greater Norwalk area. The mobile unit operates on a monthly schedule of visits to various community locations. It's also accessible to people with disabilities.

"I hope that by offering the American Job Center Southwest's Career Coach in the Westport area, many residents who wish to improve their computer skills will find it convenient and useful in pursuing their personal goals," said Barbara Butler, director of the Westport Department of Human Services.

The beginner's class will be from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by an intermediate class from 1-3 p.m.

Career Coach classes are canceled if area schools are canceled or delayed due to inclement weather.
