#GoBowlDeep: Acai Bowl Shop Sets Sights On Ridgewood, Franklin Lakes BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- Couldn't we all use a taste of the beach right around now? Playa Bowls, a Jersey Shore-based acai bowl franchise, has plans to open in Ridgewood and Franklin Lakes sometime in the new year. The shop, with a surfer facade and counter seating, specializes in fruity foundations that are topped with a host of options such as chocolate, pineapple, granola, honey and almond butter. Poke Is Coming To Fairfield County: Hawaiian Chain Announces New Location WILTON, Conn. -- Poke your way. Such is the motto of Pokéworks, a Hawaiian seafood restaurant that has plans to expand to Fairfield County in 2018. Locations are set for Wilton and Greenwich. According to a spokesman, the company has more than 80-plus locations in the works, many of which are on the East Coast. The Wilton store, the first poke eatery in the area (there are three in NYC), will be located in the Gateway Plaza, and is expected to open in summer 2018.
