Motorists and residents should be on the lookout as the buses hit the roads and as kids begin hiking off to classes.
School kicks off Thursday, Aug. 27, for Westport Public School students.
The district is encouraging parents to have their children ride buses instead of driving them to school in order to reduce congestion caused by construction on the North Avenue Bridge, which is located near several Westport schools, The Daily Voice previously reported.
Last week, Newsweek ranked Westport’s Staples High School the 63rd-best high school in the nation, The Daily Voice previously reported.
