Staples Among Nation's Best High Schools In New Rankings

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Staples High School is ranked the 63rd-best high school in the nation, according to Newsweek in a story released this week.

SHS boasted a graduation rate of 99.8 percent with 93.2 percent of its graduates bound for college. The survey also said 86.2 percent of students were ready for college upon graduation. 

Weston was the highest rated school in Fairfield County. 

The top overall designation went to Thomas Jefferson High School in Virginia.

Other area schools to make the list included Ridgefield High at No. 119.
